Initial Contact by Phone
The first thing we like to do is do a quick five-minute phone call with you. This will allow us to determine if our services will be beneficial to you and your business. This phone call will also allow us to have some initial information before we meet you for a free initial consult.
Can I Have Initial Contact by Email?
Although we prefer the initial contact to be by phone so that we can ensure all of your questions have been answered in a complete and efficient manner, we are also happy to answer any question you have by email.
Do I Need Any Specific Information Handy for the Initial Phone Call?
The initial phone call is so that we can get a basic understanding of who you are and what your bookkeeping needs are. Therefore, the questions we ask on the initial phone call are very simple.
How Do I Book an Initial Meeting?
Once we talk by phone or by email correspondence, we will set you up with a time to come into our office to meet with one of our professionals or do a web presentation.
Can I Only Book a Meeting During the Day?
Our office hours are from 9:00am – 5:00pm and we normally schedule our meetings with clients in the afternoons from Monday to Friday. We can also schedule meetings in the evenings and on Saturdays if that works into your schedule better.
Do I Need to Bring Anything to the Initial Consult?
We would recommend that you bring a copy of the Certificate of Incorporation for your business and the last accountant prepared financial statements for your business, if possible.
What If I Don’t Have the Information, Should I Rebook?
It is not a requirement to bring the information with you, so you do not need to reschedule. At Always Bookkeeping, we are always willing to reach out to your accountant and/or corporate registries to get the information needed to start your bookkeeping.
How Long Can I Expect the Initial Meeting to Be?
We set aside two hours in our calendar for your initial meeting. Depending on your circumstance, it may not take the full two hours, but we don’t want you to feel rushed and we want to make sure we get everything done in an efficient manner.
What Can I Expect at the Initial Meeting?
At the initial meeting we will give you a tour of our firm and show you our first class workstations. We will introduce ourselves more formally and we want to get to know more about you and your small business. Once you decide to sign on with Always Bookkeeping, we will get you to sign an engagement letter. At the initial meeting we will also get you set up on QuickBooks and Hubdoc.
Can the Initial Meeting Be Done by Phone?
We prefer to do the initial meeting in person but we are able to present our meeting to you using our free web presentation software. You will just need have a computer with internet access in front of you.
Will the Fee Change Once We Have the Initial Meeting?
No! Our fees our $200 per month for bookkeeping and $50 per employee for payroll. Unlike other bookkeeping firms, we do not charge any extra fees for catchup work. These fees will not change once we have the initial meeting.
What If I’m Behind in My Bookkeeping?
Don’t worry if you are behind in your bookkeeping! At Always Bookkeeping we are always ready to get your bookkeeping up to date as quickly and as efficiently as possible. And this service is at no extra charge to you!
Where are you located?
We are located on the outskirts of downtown Edmonton in Railtown. We share office space with Spurrell & Associates Chartered Professional Accountants.
Where Can I Park at Always Bookkeeping?
Even though we are close to the downtown core, we are easy to get to and we have free parking along the front street and by the side of the building.
Do You Serve Coffee?
Not only do we serve coffee but we piggyback off the coffee machine at Spurrell & Associates Chartered Professional Accountants so you will get only the high quality Nespresso coffee that is brewed to perfection. There is usually light, medium and dark and we can even use the milk frother to make a cappuccino!
What Happens Once I Sign with Always Bookkeeping?
At Always Bookkeeping we are very schedule-oriented and so once you have signed an engagement letter with Always Bookkeeping the first thing to do is get you on our schedule. We will set you up for a time that we will do your bookkeeping and payroll (if necessary) on a bi-weekly basis. We will get you set up with a QuickBooks Online file and a Hubdoc account so that we can start getting your bookkeeping up to date for you.
What If I need More Than Just Bookkeeping?
If you have an accountant that you use for your corporate yearend, then we will work with that accountant to ensure that they have your bookkeeping when they need it for the yearend. If you do not currently have an accountant for your business and your corporate tax return is not too complicated, we can help you file your return on a timely basis. We can also help you file your personal tax return if you are a proprietorship. If you don’t have an accountant and you require one, we have partnered with Spurrell & Associates Chartered Professional Accountants and can set you up to meet with them to help with your corporate return. We also have a marketing firm on site that can help with any of your marketing needs. At Always Bookkeeping our mission is to help you succeed in any way we can.
